But what happens if you detest the idea of performing? There is one way you could still rehearse your guitar and that is to play in private and envisage that you are playing in front of a crowd. One step further is to put your children’s teddies on the chairs. On such an occasion you have to exercise self discipline and play those parts in your actual program from start to finish so if you make a mistake in front of the public, what would you do? You may decide not to stop at a mistake and carry on with your playing in this type of quiet and passive show. This would in the end result in your raising the level of self confidence and self discipline as well, and this would give you a chance to learn from your mistakes of guitar playing.

This playing could also be recorded and played again, for discovering mistakes, if any. Don’t make this recording matter to complex especially these days with cellular phones and mp3 players it’s an easy task to implement. Making a recording is similar to having a critic in the audience and listening to other players is also beneficial. Always be ambitious with your guitar playing and you can reach advanced echelons when you listen to other players who are more experienced than you. When you rehearse and learn your guitar pieces or songs, remember to constantly play your music at the same artistic level as when you perform. Along with your music, you must master the art of exhibiting your attitude, body language and stress level management. The feeling of joy and delight felt during your rehearse sessions would percolate to the member of the audience when you perform in front of them.
